Au cours de sa résidence, elle travaillera à la création du second album du groupe, en explorant comment des compositions pensées pour un quintet peuvent exister dans des formats plus réduits : solo, duo, trio. Une recherche sur la forme autant que sur le fond, puisque les nouvelles chansons abordent des thèmes de santé mentale et de transformation intérieure, avec la subtile ironie qui caractérise l’univers de MAYA.

Chaque composition sera accompagnée d’une œuvre visuelle réalisée en collaboration avec des artistes, dans la continuité du premier album.

During her residency, she will works towards the creation of the band’s second album, exploring how compositions written for a quintet can exist in more reduced formats: solo, duo, trio. A research process that is as much about form as it is about content, since the new songs engage with themes of mental health and inner transformation, carried by the subtle irony that characterises MAYA’s artistic language.

Each composition will be accompanied by a visual artwork created in collaboration with other artists, continuing the approach of the first album.
