In my garden, Melissa Oliveira's debut album, is just like an intoxicating colourful garden where 10 tracks show 10 different variety of flowers, branching out to samba, blues, world music, original tunes and twisted standards. For this concert, in addition to presenting songs from her album and bringing them alive visually - literally - she will perform songs inspired by her own roots by making use of the portuguese guitar with a groundbreaking and fresh approach. One thing we know for sure: the land in which all these flowers grow is unmistakably jazzy and the ability to make them flourish is due to this singer's diverse background.
