Together with the Ben Heit Quartet, jazz singer Edith van den Heuvel will perform a tribute to the music of the Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell.

Joni Mitchell's songs and musicianship have been an inspiration to many people all over the world since the start of her career in the late 1960's when she became famous as a folk singer. Later on she started working with jazz musicians such as Jacco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Charles Mingus. Ben Heit has been fascinated with Joni Mitchell for over 25 years and with this group, he is performing a tribute to her and her music with his wonderful arrangements of her songs.

The Ben Heit Quartet will not only interpret Joni Mitchell's own compositions such as Blue Motel Room, Both sides now and Black Crow but also some of Joni's interpretations of jazz classics such as Goodbye Porkpie Hat and Twisted.
