A Modern Royal Household is an exhibition on the restoration and not least the artistic decoration of Frederik VIII's Palace in Amalienborg, Copenhagen. The palace is the new home of The Crown Prince Couple.
The restoration is a unique, multifaceted project that involves architects, craftsmen and artists. The spectacular choice of The Crown Prince Couple to let ten contemporary artists decorate the palace has attracted attention.
A Modern Royal Household puts focus on this artistic decoration and displays the beautiful pictures from the book Frederik VIII 's Palace -, restoration, rebuilding and artistic decoration (Aristo, 2010).
The photographers Roberto Fortuna and Torben Eskerod have taken the aesthetic pictures. The exhibition has been realized with funds from Realdania.
