Séduite par la croyance qu’un homme fort et féroce est tout ce dont l’on a besoin pour faire avancer les choses et sauver le monde, Anne-Mareike Hess s’embarque en solo dans un voyage pour devenir une guerrière. A l’intérieur d’un paysage sonore à la fois distordu et doux émerge une image profondément poétique de la fragilité humaine et de la rupture intérieure. Un corps dansant pris dans un combat perpétuel avec ses émotions.
WARRIOR est le premier volet de la trilogie On Fighting, Dreaming, and Weaving, dans laquelle l’artiste tente de se frayer un chemin à travers les nombreux stéréotypes liés aux femmes.
La performance sera suivie du lancement de la bande dessinée Warrior, Dreamer, Weaver – Awakening the Body en présence des auteurs, Anne-Mareike Hess et Luca De Vitis alias The holy garbage, ainsi que de l’ouverture de l’exposition consacrée à la bande dessinée.

Seduced by the belief that a fierce strongman is all we need to get things done and save the world, choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess takes us in her solo on a journey of becoming a warrior. Within a distorted and at the same time soft soundscape emerges a profoundly poetic image of human fragility and inner disruption. A dancing body caught in a perpetual fight with its emotions.
WARRIOR is the first part of the trilogy On Fighting, Dreaming, and Weaving, in which the artist tries to fight her way through the tangle of stereotypical ideas of being a woman. 
The performance will be followed by the launch of the comic book Warrior, Dreamer, Weaver – Awakening the Body in the presence of the authors, Anne-Mareike Hess and Luca De Vitis alias The holy garbage, as well as the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the comic.
