Experience one fine evening with Jill Bettendorff.

Jill Bettendorff is a Luxembourgish multidisciplinary artist who utilizes the mediums of dance, photography, and video to express her art. Her work is strongly influenced by movement, dance, human interactions, and personal experiences.

Her works have been exhibited, among other places, at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Kühlhaus, and Factory Berlin in Berlin, as well as at MUDAM, Carré Rotondes, 1535 Creative Hub, Extrabold, Konschthaus beim Engel in Luxembourg City, and at Galerie Cornelissen in Wiesbaden.

Her career as a dancer spans theatrical productions, television shows, commercials, video clips, to the creation of films and videos. In 2015, she won, among other accolades, the television show Generation Art, a several-month-long artist competition produced and broadcasted by RTL Luxembourg.

The video Bondiaries, a duet dance video creation, premiered on the Nowness platform and received recognition at the Wildsound Festival in Toronto, the Portland Dance Film Fest, the Fuselage Dance Film Festival, and the 180 Berlin Filmfest, winning the Audience Choice Award at the Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema. Transcending, a independently produced video created during the coronavirus lockdown, was also honored by the Portland Dance Film Fest.

‘One fine evening with…’ is a carefully curated evening dedicated to an established or emerging talent from Luxembourg. Artists from the fields of music, dance, comedy or literature will alternately present their body of work. We take the time to devote an entire evening to an artist, delving into the driving force behind their creations – their desires, fears, and sources of inspiration.

‘One fine evening with…’ offers an intimate insight into the world of each artist and will be moderated by Luc Spada. The conversation with the artist will be conducted in Luxembourgish.

Jill Bettendorff est une artiste multidisciplinaire luxembourgeoise qui utilise les médias de la danse, de la photographie et de la vidéo pour exprimer son art. Son travail est fortement influencé par le mouvement, la danse, les interactions humaines et les expériences personnelles.

Ses œuvres ont été exposées, entre autres, au Künstlerhaus Bethanien, au Kühlhaus et à la Factory Berlin à Berlin, ainsi qu’au MUDAM, Carré Rotondes, 1535 Creative Hub, Extrabold, Konschthaus beim Engel à Luxembourg-Ville et à la Galerie Cornelissen à Wiesbaden.
Sa carrière de danseuse s’étend des productions théâtrales, émissions de télévision, publicités, clips vidéo à la réalisation de films et vidéos. En 2015, elle a remporté, entre autres, l’émission de télévision Generation Art, un concours d’artistes de plusieurs mois produit et diffusé par RTL Luxembourg.

On prend le temps de consacrer une soirée entière à l’artiste, explorant les motivations qui sous-tendent leur création, qu’il s’agisse de désirs, de peurs ou de sources d’inspiration.

‘One fine evening with…’ offre un aperçu intime du monde de chaque artiste et sera animée par Luc Spada. La conversation avec l’artiste se déroule en luxembourgeois.
