With this new project Sara Gilis (B) & Jeff Herr (LUX) give voice to several strong women from Greek mythology. We all know someone with the childlike enthusiasm of Persephone, the irrepressible drive of Artemis or the caring nature of Demeter…

Sara became intrigued by this theme and looked for the essence of those mythological figures. My Olympus turned into an introspective journey and a reflection of inspiring, encounters along the way. An instrumental adventure with room for experimentation, improvisation, and a good amount of imagination.

A musician friend that attended My Olympus’ first show found the right words when he called the project.

“Een film zonder beeld.” (Like watching a movie with your eyes closed.)
