Une collectivité solidaire est indispensable au fonctionnement d’une société démocratique et sociale. Mais qu’implique exactement le terme « collectivité » ? Comment les pratiques artistiques peuvent-elles contribuer à un sentiment de communauté, voire le renforcer ? Le projet together s’inscrit dans la démarche photographique documentaire de l’artiste Anne Speltz et explore visuellement la notion de collectivité. A travers un questionnement visuel, l’artiste explore le sujet ainsi que sa symbolique, lors d’une expérimentation autour de la photographie au sténopé ainsi que du développement des photos argentiques sans produits toxiques, à base de plantes locales. Intégrant ainsi activement l’environnement dans la représentation de la communauté, l’importance de l’interconnexion entre l’humain et la nature est soulignée. La résidence au neimënster devient un espace d’expérimentation où la photographie ne fonctionne non seulement comme outil documentaire mais aussi comme un moyen appelant à un changement sociétal.

Anne Speltz est une photographe documentaire luxembourgeoise. Son travail photographique se caractérise par son intérêt pour des sujets sensibles et des questions sociétales. Une collaboration étroite avec ses protagonistes ainsi que leur représentation digne est essentielle dans ses projets à long terme. Ses travaux sont marqués par son regard sensible et observateur, la photographie servant comme moyen d’entrer en dialogue avec des réalités et des perspectives différentes sur le monde. En 2025, elle a obtenu son diplôme de bachelor en photographie documentaire à la Hochschule Hannover. Elle a participé à plusieurs expositions, notamment à la GAF (Galerie für Fotografie) à Hanovre, au neimënster au Luxembourg et à l’exposition Visages D’Europe, organisée par l’EUNIC à Paris. En 2023, sa première exposition monographique I am waiting for the Happiness a eu lieu au CAPE à Ettelbruck.

A supportive community is essential to the functioning of a democratic and social society. But what exactly does the term “community” imply? How can artistic practices contribute to a sense of togetherness, or even strengthen it? The project together is part of the documentary photographic approach of artist Anne Speltz and visually explores the notion of community.

Through a visual inquiry, the artist examines this theme and its symbolism, experimenting with pinhole photography and the development of analog photographs using non-toxic, plant-based local materials. By actively integrating the environment into the representation of community, the project underlines the importance of the interconnection between humans and nature. The residency at neimënster becomes a space for experimentation, where photography functions not only as a documentary tool, but also as a means of calling for societal change.

Anne Speltz is a documentary photographer from Luxembourg. Her photographic work is defined by her focus on sensitive topics and social issues. Close collaboration with her protagonists and a respectful, dignified representation of them are essential aspects of her long-term projects. Her work is marked by a sensitive and observant gaze, with photography serving as a means of engaging in dialogue with different realities and perspectives on the world. In 2025, she earned her bachelor’s degree in documentary photography from Hochschule Hannover. She has taken part in several exhibitions, including at GAF (Galerie für Fotografie) in Hanover, neimënster in Luxembourg, and the Visages d’Europe exhibition organized by EUNIC in Paris. In 2023, her first solo exhibition, I am waiting for the Happiness, took place at CAPE in Ettelbruck.
