As artists and mothers, the theatre practitioners Nora Koenig and Anne Simon ask themselves if it is possible to have it all as they have come to convince themselves over the years. From a subjective point of view, inspired by the artists’ experience, they question the totally-possible-career-and-family-trope. The installation playfully exposes, throughout a series of distorted self-portraits, the representations of the illusion/delusion in the desperate attempt to pretend that we are the puppeteers rather than the puppets of these self-fabricated plays. Even if, at the end of the day, we need to realize that we all still hit our heads on a glass ceiling.
