In 1978, two American psychologists put a name to a particular form of self-doubt: the impostor syndrome. Three actresses were confronted with this syndrome when they were in the middle of creating a show. Sometimes considered as prostitutes, sometimes as artists, the public, the patrons and a fortiori the actresses themselves considered that they were illegal.for a long time, the public, the patrons and, a fortiori, the actresses themselves, considered that they were illegitimate to play women's roles, the interpretation of which was, for decades, reserved for men.
