Through research and photography, the project "The Valley of Angels" aims to document the territory of southern Luxembourg, a former industrial land, where the steel industry and mines ensured years of prosperity. Since then, these entities have undergone profound changes, the evolution of the fallen industries turning to the tertiary sector. Between rural and urban areas, this complex territory is in full expansion and evolution, attracting many cross-border workers while maintaining a distinct identity. The research will focus on the most industrialized part of the area, towards the tripoint with the Belgian and French borders, trying to identify the relevant symbols, particularly focused on the signs evoking the past, the present, and the future of these places. During these explorations, the desire is also to create encounters with the people working in the region, bringing them face to face with the people who live there, completing the topographical approach with an ethnological vision of the place.
