Poet and anthropologist, born in 1947 in Mostaganem, Habib Tengourg lives and works between Paris, Constantine and Mostaganem. He is one of the great Maghrebi authors of French language. Translated into German, English, Arabic, Italian, Dutch, he himself translates poets of English and American language (e.g. the American-Luxembourgish Pierre Joris) and Arabic language.
