Cette résidence de la structure PROJETEN, dédiée à la création Barbablù (I. Paura) [Barbe-Bleue (I.Peur)]. La recherche est centrée sur la figure de “Barbe-Bleue” et ses incarnations contemporaines. La question de la manière dont la pluridisciplinarité artistique et un engagement socio-politique peuvent s’enrichir mutuellement est au cœur de ce travail. La forme du futur spectacle en création, dont la Première aura lieu à Naples au Teatro Galleria Toledo le 22 mai, et la reprise prévue pour la saison prochaine à Luxembourg, sera également abordée.

Barbablù (I. Paura) est un spectacle pluridisciplinaire et itinérant mêlant théâtre, opéra et arts visuels, qui revisite le mythe de Barbe-Bleue à travers le prisme de la peur et des violences faites aux femmes. Porté par une dramaturgie contemporaine de Stéphane Ghislain Roussel, la pièce explore les mécanismes du voyeurisme, la responsabilité collective, et la parole face à l’horreur. Dans une progression immersive et sensorielle, le parcours de la protagoniste mène à une inversion des rapports de force, affirmant un empouvoirement féminin face aux figures de l’hétéropatriarcat.

La structure artistique PROJETEN, basée au Luxembourg, s’attache à la création de projets et de formes pluridisciplinaires performatives, opératiques, théâtrales, curatoriales ou imaginaires. La recherche et l’expérimentation qu’elles soient théoriques ou appliquées y jouent un rôle majeur. Nos rapports aux écosystèmes, à ses métamorphoses et les sensibilités qui s’élèvent, constituent l’axe central de PROJETEN. Croisant ce champ intitulé Permaculture des arts, les utopies, leur inscription dans le réel à travers des gestes et des formes agissantes sont au cœur de nos préoccupations et de notre pratique.

This residency by the artistic structure PROJETEN is dedicated to the creation of Barbablù (I. Paura) [Bluebeard (I. Fear)].

The research focuses on the figure of “Bluebeard” and its contemporary incarnations. At the heart of this work lies the question of how artistic multidisciplinarity and socio-political engagement can mutually enrich one another.
The form of the upcoming performance, which will premiere in Naples at Teatro Galleria Toledo on May 22, and is scheduled for a revival next season in Luxembourg, will also be explored.

Barbablù (I. Paura) is a multidisciplinary and touring performance that merges theatre, opera, and visual arts. It revisits the myth of Bluebeard through the lens of fear and gender-based violence. Driven by a contemporary dramaturgy by Stéphane Ghislain Roussel, the piece delves into voyeurism, collective responsibility, and the act of speaking out in the face of horror.
Through an immersive and sensory journey, the protagonist’s path leads to a reversal of power dynamics, asserting female empowerment in response to the structures of heteropatriarchy.

The artistic structure PROJETEN, based in Luxembourg, is committed to creating multidisciplinary performative, operatic, theatrical, curatorial, or imaginary works. Research and experimentation—both theoretical and applied—play a central role in its practice.
Our relationships to ecosystems, their metamorphoses, and the emerging sensitivities they awaken form the core focus of PROJETEN. Crossing into a field we call Permaculture of the Arts, utopias and their inscription in the real—through active gestures and impactful forms—are at the heart of our concerns and our creative approach.
