For Como as Flores – like flowers in Portuguese, Jean-Marie Machado invites percussionist Zé Luis Nascimento who is halfway between drums and digital percussion. He will bring this essential nuance to the musical aesthetic of the trio. Double bass player Claude Tchamitchian is the third in this adventure, with his transversal sense of music that responds to the compositions open to the worlds of contemporary jazz by Jean-Marie Machado. For the latter, the time of the trio always returns in a ritual and cyclical way. Very few musical ideas or colors resist this form. It allows us to consider music with a very singular balance. Como as Flores will share with us a music of clarity and poetry underpinned by small immutable dances and beautiful beaches of rhythmic trances.
