Lénaïc Brulé est comédienne, autrice et metteuse en scène. Elle a étudié l’art dramatique au Conservatoire Royal de Mons (Belgique) dont elle est sortie en 2009. En 2010, elle fonde Le Groupe Sanguin, un collectif avec lequel elle monte des textes contemporains dans une dynamique de création horizontale. Récemment, on a pu la voir dans “Zazie ! » au théâtre Le Public une mise en scène de Shérine Seyad (Cie Debout sur la chaise) 

Ayant à cœur de faire entendre la parole des personnes invisibilisées, elle se forme à la méthode de mise en scène de Frédérique Lecomte (Théâtre et Réconciliation). En 2014, elle est lauréate de la bourse Vocatio avec son projet “Le théâtre, un moyen de reconstruction”. Elle travaille en République démocratique du Congo avec des enfants-soldats démobilisés, puis au Rwanda dans une région transfrontalière instabilisée par des conflits territoriaux, ethniques et religieux. En 2018, en Côte d’Ivoire, elle met en scène dix-huit jeunes femmes dans “L’Émergence”, un spectacle engagé dans la libération des droits des femmes et dans la lutte contre les inégalités.

En Belgique et au Luxembourg, elle développe des formes artistiques participatives avec des publics vulnérables, précarisés ou exclus par leur situation administrative, économique, sociale ou de handicap.

Le film photographique “Porte-Voix”, co-réalisé avec Alborz Teymoorzadeh, est l’un de ces projets. Le film rassemble une dizaine de portraits de personnes représentant la diversité culturelle du Luxembourg. Il a été projeté en février 2024 au Festival des Migrations, Cultures et Citoyenneté et à la soirée « Openscreen »  du Lux Film Festival.

Voyageuse aguerrie, Lénaïc a une solide expérience internationale. Elle se forme en Argentine (Théâtre Organic), travaille au Québec (Les Deux Mondes) et découvre le Pérou, la Bolivie, l’Inde, le Costa Rica et le Maroc. En 2021, elle est sélectionnée pour participer à la pépinière de la Commission Internationale du Théâtre Francophone au Liban. En 2022, elle participe à la trentième édition de l’Ecole des Maîtres sous la direction de Claudio Tolcachir, qui se déroule en itinérance dans quatre pays européens.

En tant qu’autrice, son premier texte dramatique “Ricochet” est publié aux Editions Lansman en 2022. Il est lauréat de la bourse d’écriture Beaumarchais de la SACD et a reçu plusieurs distinctions dans des comités de lecture en France. Elle co-écrit également la pièce “King Grenouille” avec Franck Lemaire et Fàbio Godinho, éditée dans Les Cahiers Luxembourgeois, une commande du collectif Le Gueuloir pour Esch 2022, capitale européenne de la culture.

En juin 2024, son texte  jeune public « Fissures » figure dans le recueil « Dialulogues »  publié aux Editions Lansman. Un texte crée en collaboration avec une classe d’enfants de 5ème primaire. 

Lénaïc Brulé sera en résidence du 5 août au 14 septembre 2024 à neimënster pour développer son projet d’écriture théâtrale intitulé “Femmes, Vie, Liberté !” qui aura pour point de départ le mouvement de libération en Iran suite à la mort de la jeune femme Mahsa Amini. Avec le soutien de Wallonie Bruxelles International.

In 2010, she founded Le Groupe Sanguin, a collective with which she stages contemporary texts in a horizontal creation dynamic. Recently, she was seen in “Zazie!” at the Théâtre Le Public, directed by Shérine Seyad (Cie Debout sur la chaise).

With a commitment to giving voice to marginalized individuals, she trained in Frédérique Lecomte’s directing method (Theatre and Reconciliation). In 2014, she was awarded the Vocatio grant for her project “Theatre as a Means of Reconstruction”. She worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo with demobilized child soldiers, and later in Rwanda in a region destabilized by territorial, ethnic, and religious conflicts. In 2018, in Ivory Coast, she directed eighteen young women in “The Emergence”, a performance advocating for women’s rights and fighting against inequalities.

In Belgium and Luxembourg, she develops participatory artistic forms with vulnerable, marginalized, or excluded populations due to their administrative, economic, social, or disability status.

It was screened in February 2024 at the Festival des Migrations, des Cultures et de la Citoyenneté, as well as at the “Openscreen” evening of the Lux Film Festival.

As a seasoned traveler, Lénaïc has extensive international experience. She trained in Argentina (Theatre Organic), worked in Quebec (Les Deux Mondes), and explored Peru, Bolivia, India, Costa Rica, and Morocco. In 2021, she was selected to participate in the International Francophone Theatre Commission’s incubator program in Lebanon. In 2022, she took part in the thirtieth edition of the School of Masters under the direction of Claudio Tolcachir, which took place across four European countries.

As a playwright, her first dramatic text “Ricochet” was published by Lansman Editions in 2022. It won the Beaumarchais writing grant from the SACD and received several distinctions in reading committees in France. She also co-wrote the play “King Grenouille” with Franck Lemaire and Fàbio Godinho, published in Les Cahiers Luxembourgeois, commissioned by the collective Le Gueuloir for Esch 2022, the European Capital of Culture.

In June 2024, his youth text “Fissures” will be included in the collection “Dialulogues” published by Editions Lansman. This text was created in collaboration with a class of fifth-grade children.

Lénaïc Brulé will be in residence from August 5th to September 14th, 2024 at neimënster to develop her theatrical writing project entitled “Women, Life, Freedom!”, which will be based on the Iranian liberation movement following the death of the young woman Mahsa Amini. With the support of Wallonie Bruxelles International.

She is currently working on a short form for young audiences for the collection "Dia-Lu-Logues", which will be published by Lansman in 2024.
