En tant qu’artiste, Gilles Muller cherche depuis peu à élargir sa peinture à de nouvelles dimensions et à trouver et créer des symbioses entre l’architecture et la peinture. Son objectif est de davantage s’intéresser aux éléments architecturaux et aux objets physiques afin de les intégrer dans ses œuvres. Il souhaite en partie quitter le domaine de la peinture et se rapprocher d’autres techniques afin de créer des œuvres plus spatiales. Pour développer son expression artistique, Gilles Muller aimerait essayer d’intégrer des éléments architecturaux à des fragments de sa peinture et ainsi dévelloper de nouvelles relations. Un cheminement personnel animé par le désir de découvrir de nouvelles choses, de générer de nouvelles formes de représentation artistique et de donner plus de profondeur spatiale à ses œuvres.

Il souhaite essayer de nouvelles choses. Se familiariser avec différentes techniques telles que la sculpture, l’installation spatiale ou le Mixed Media. En explorant de nouvelles techniques, il souhaite renforcer son expression artistique. Trouver de nouvelles façons d’exprimer ses idées et ses émotions. En intégrant des éléments architecturaux dans son travail ou en les laissant devenir une partie de son processus de travail, il espère ainsi pouvoir établir un lien plus profond avec l’environnement et le lieu.

Gilles Muller souhaite profiter de la résidence à neimënster pour approfondir et expérimenter ce processus ainsi que cette recherche artistique personnelle de nouveautés. En accord avec la thématique (“Explorer de nouvelles dimensions des rencontres entre l’art et le public”), il veut provoquer de nouvelles façons d’interagir entre le public et son art, faire naître de nouveaux types de rencontre entre l’observateur, l’utilisateur, l’espace public et son art.

As an artist, Gilles Muller has recently been looking to expand his painting into new dimensions and to find and create symbioses between architecture and painting. His aim is to take a greater interest in architectural elements and physical objects in order to integrate them into his work. In part, he wishes to leave the field of painting and move towards other techniques in order to create more spatial works. To develop his artistic expression, Gilles Muller would like to try and integrate architectural elements into fragments of his painting and thus develop new relationships. It’s a personal journey driven by the desire to discover new things, to generate new forms of artistic representation and to give more spatial depth to his works.

He wants to try new things. Familiarise himself with different techniques such as sculpture, spatial installation and mixed media. By exploring new techniques, they want to strengthen their artistic expression. Find new ways of expressing their ideas and emotions. By integrating architectural elements into his work or allowing them to become part of his working process, he hopes to establish a deeper connection with the environment and place.

Gilles Muller hopes to take advantage of his residency at neimënster to explore and experiment with this process and his personal artistic search for new things. In keeping with the theme (“Exploring new dimensions of encounters between art and the public”), he wants to provoke new ways of interacting between the public and his art, to give rise to new types of encounter between the observer, the user, the public space and his art.
