Despite this, the economic state vastly impacts artists and cultural workers, who require adequate compensation to sustain a dignified life. However, who holds the authority to determine an artist's salary? These requests have historically caused tension.

Is it necessary for someone to do so? And what is the State's role in their remuneration - or even in society as a whole?

If artists have to depend solely on financial aid to fulfill their needs, it could potentially constrain their creativity and personal expression.

The Debattekultur lecture series will address the core concerns regarding artists' compensation at its third event. The aim is to examine the topic from various perspectives to enhance public understanding of artists' everyday experiences.
