Couleur.S sextet est l’ultime étape d’une démarche initiée en solo puis en trio depuis 2018. Le projet se veut un creuset de la créolisation  entre les univers du jazz et des musiques improvisées et le monde extraordinaire d’Olivier Messiaen.
Outre le trio de base piano/contrebasse/batterie, le sextet intègre les ondes Martenot, instrument fétiche d’Olivier Messiaen, le trombone, force « tellurique » des vents, et le violon, prolongement vers les airs de la contrebasse terrestre.
Pigmentée des couleurs sonores du grand compositeur, cette création cherche avant tout à atteindre à une cosmogonie « colorée », véritable naissance d’un monde imaginaire, poétique et partagé.

Couleur.S Sextet represents the culmination of a musical journey that began in 2018, evolving from solo performances to a trio, and now expanding into a sextet formation. The project aims to serve as a crucible of creolization, blending the realms of jazz and improvised music with the extraordinary world of Olivier Messiaen.

In addition to the foundational trio of piano, double bass, and drums, the sextet incorporates the ondes Martenot; a signature instrument of Messiaen; the trombone, embodying the “telluric” force of the winds, and the violin, extending the earthy resonance of the double bass into the aerial domain.

Infused with the sonic colors of the great composer, this creation seeks above all to achieve a “colored” cosmogony; a true birth of an imaginary, poetic, and shared world
